Charlotte Cobras vs. Atlanta Defenders

The Cobras were able to pull off an amazing come from behind win against their I85 rivals, the Atlanta Defenders. The Cobras trailed 20-6 at halftime but came out in the second half and fought their way back with a punishing defense and a bruising running game. An incredible punt return for a touchdown tied the score at 20 and then the coaches decided to put it all on the line and go for two. The conversion was a success and the Cobras held on to their late lead and take their first road victory in team history, 21-20.

The Cobras are looking to build on the success of that gutsy win by channeling the heart that was displayed in the second half of the ballgame. The Cobras are on the road again for their next contest. They travel to Cleveland for a match up with the Cleveland Warriors on Saturday, May 2nd.
